Farmers’ Market Offers Rustic Twig Class - Tuesday, August
19 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Flint, MI - Flint Farmers Market
welcomes Master Furniture Builder
Bim Willow on Tuesday,
August 19. Bim Willow will teach students to build an item
of their choice during the
workshop. All tools and materials
are provided. The cost of the workshop starts at $45 and
depends on the item being built. The amount of time needed
to craft each item is different. Still Time to Sign Up
- materials can be collected
and prepared.
Students in the class will experience furniture and art
formed from a pile of sticks under the guidance of this
critically acclaimed artist. Choices for building include a
garden bench, historical bent willow loveseat or chair, ladderback chair, garden arbor, trellis, potting bench,
Bakers rack and more.

your Calendar for the BBQ Battle! Our big event is the
BBQ Battle Saturday August 23 from
12-8 p.m. It is
sponsored by Citizens Republic Bancorp in cooperation
with CARS 108, the Flint Journal and ABC12 to benefit
Salvation Army. There will be live entertainment from the Swingin' Demons 1-4 p.m. and Bill Toll and the Cidy Zoo from
5-8 p.m. Eight local BBQ professionals will square off
for
bragging rights tot he best BBQ in Flint! A Celebrity Media
Challenge will be held from 1-3 and a People's Choice
Challenge will take place from 3-6.
